Incredible Stay

May 13, 2017

"Thank you Jocelyn, Everything was wonderful! Mark did an incredible job with all of the food. Our guests were raving about everything they ate. Charlène and Sandrine were terrific as well. They were so sweet and did a beautiful job with all of the decoration. Nicola was our hero. I can't say enough about how amazing he was. He did so much for us and always had a smile on his face. Nothing was too much for him. You've put together a great team who really helped make our whole stay incredible."

Au revoir Michel and all change

February 03, 2017

We say au revoir to Michel and all change

After 11 years of loyal service, Michel our gamekeeper has decided to retire. Michel will be leaving us at the end of March to his farm in Langon. However, he is not going very far and I am sure we will see him often on the shoots.

With the departure of Michel, we are taking the opportunity to make some major changes:

Glyn Davies will take over the day to day management of the shoot activities. Glyn has successfully run shoots and has been helping Michel throughout the last season. He will be aided by Mark who will also be joining us at the end of the year, and of course Alain, and Cedric will continue to liven our shoots with their dogs. Vic, an expert in forest management, is going to look after the woods and make sure we have excellent rides and paths throughout the woods for the shoot and very importantly do it in a way that will make the woods live and develop.

Finally, we have decided to remove the nets that cover the two pheasant pens and plant more crops in the woods to encourage an even spread of birds. With all this we are sure the shoots are going to be even more exciting next season.
